With Simply Flowers, Jenny has successfully married two of her greatest passions in life: art and flowers.

It all started with Mothers' Day
Jenny's enthusiasm for flowers started with trips to the nursery with her father in early May. On Mother's Day morning she and her father would present a colorful new garden to her mother, a tradition that continues to this day.

An artist at heart
Jenny has always cultivated her love of art. At the age of 16, she was one of an elite group of students invited to the Governor's School for the Arts and she continued to develop her artistic talents through high school. But it was at Tennessee Technical University that she finally saw a way to merge art with flowers through a degree in Nursery and Landscape Management. Graduating with cum laude honors, Jenny ventured boldly away from home to plant herself in the heart of Atlanta.

A period of growth
Beginning with Gibbs Landscaping as a seasonal color crew leader, then seasonal color production manager, then floriculture designer, Jenny's dream for a future began to crystallize.

After serving as regional seasonal color manager for Duke-Weeks Landscaping, she was determined to launch her own business.

Making it real and making a mark
Since starting Simply Flowers in 2001, Jenny has shared her passion for the art of flower design as a guest speaker for the Metro Atlanta Landscape & Turf Association (MALTA), the Southern Nurserymen’s Association, the State Botanical Garden, the Georgia Green Industry Association, and others. She speaks regularly to Atlanta area horticulture students, encouraging and mentoring their transition into the industry. She has appeared on several nationally televised news programs as an advocate for responsible water use in the landscape industry.

In 2004 she began a five-year term on MALTA's board of directors, beginning as secretary and ending as president. Jenny serves on the certification task force for Georgia Certified Landscape Professionals and regularly contributes articles to trade and gardening publications. In 2007, she was recognized by the Georgia Green Industry Association as Communicator of the Year.

These accomplishments, along with the success of Simply Flowers, are a testimony to Jenny's skills, talents, tenacity, and exceptional customer service. Jenny has built a professional design team that is recognized as the southeast's premier color-scaping specialist.
